Courtesy of Bro. Joe Bratton, St. Marks #118Freemasons' Hall was constructed in 1928 by eight city Lodges who formed the Calgary Masonic Temple Ltd. to build and operate the facility. It houses two large lodge rooms -- the Blue Room on the main floor and the Red Room on the third floor.
The offices of The Grand Lodge of Alberta are located on the second floor, while the Grand Lodge Library is to be found on the Ground Floor. The office of the Calgary Valley of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite as well as the Temple Manager are also on the main floor.
A Banquet Room; a Committee Room and the office of the Secretary of the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star are to be found on the lower level.
