Annual Communication

The Grand Lodge of Alberta will hold its 112th Annual Communication on June 8th-10th, 2017 at the Holday Inn in the City of Red Deer, Alberta.

Edmonton 2017 Lodge Officer Training

June 10th & 11th, 2016 Edmonton, Alberta Registration $20.00

There are two Lodge Officer Training courses scheduled for Edmonton in 2017. They will be held at Freemasons’ Hall on Sunday February 26th and Sunday March 26th. Both courses start at 9 a.m. It is only necessary to sign up for one course as they both cover the same material. The cost of the course is $20 which includes a memory stick containing the course material.

Who are we?

  • A committee reporting to the Grand Master


  • To provide the essential training and resources for those planning to be a lodge officer
  • The LOTP is part of Grand Lodge Strategic Plan
  • Improved Lodge Leadership
  • Lodge members look to their leaders for direction and motivation. Leaders must be well skilled in the duties of their office as well as leadership skills like planning, organizing, delegating and managing.
  • Goal: All Worshipful Masters shall have completed Senior Deacon, Junior Warden and Senior Warden Leadership Training Programs during their progression to the East.
  • There will be dedicated workshops at each Training Session for: · Training officers · Training the Deacons to become the Junior Warden · Training the Junior Warden for his year as Senior Warden in preparation for his year as Worshipful Master · PowerPoint presentations have been developed for each of these training sessions and are included on a USB memory stick along with various resources The LOTP also includes additional presentations (offered in rotation so not all will be presented at every course) · Membership Development · Lodge Leadership · Masonic education · Masonic Activities · Public Awareness · Charity and public projects · Parliamentary rules
