MW Bro. Gerald Waldern was installed as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Alberta on Saturday 12th June 2010 and will preside until the June 2011.

In 2008, Senior Grand Lodge Officers developed a Strategic Plan for the Grand Lodge of Alberta. The Plan is intended to guide continuous improvement of Lodges and, thereby, strengthen the Craft in the jurisdiction. The Strategic Plan was approved at the June 2009 Annual Communication.
The first steps in implementing the Strategic Plan have been taken by the Grand Master with his "Strengthening our Foundation" initiatives.
